by Michael Hollinger

directed by Martin Shell

May 1 -18, 2008

When a Medieval monastery hits a financial crunch, the monks must call it quits or do something drastic to attract new business. (What possibly could have attracted BTE to this light comedy of the Dark Ages?) In Michael Hollinger’s zany farce, everyone and everything is fair play, but only Faith is Incorruptible. BTE audiences adored Opus, Red Herring and An Empty Plate At The Café Du Grande Beouf – we’re pleased to again share the stage with a favorite playwright.

Bount 4 Beijing Tour
Location: Bowman Field

Women’s USA Softball National Team Coming to Bowman Field
Tickets on Sale February 15
February 4 - The 2008 Women’s USA Softball National Team will play an exhibition game at Historic Bowman Field in Williamsport on May 8, 2008 as the “Bound 4 Beijing” tour rolls through the United States in preparation for the 2008 Olympic Games.  Williamsport is one of 46 cities on the tour that will host the squad as they look to capture a fourth-consecutive gold medal in China.

The USA team will be opposed by a Regional All-Star team to be coached by Jersey Shore native Jeremy Lazorka who currently serves as a Manager of the University of Arizona Women’s Softball Team. The local stop is being hosted by the Williamsport Crosscutters, the PA Softball Coaches Association of District 4, and the Amateur Softball Association of PA.  The game is being co-sponsored by Clear Channel Radio Williamsport.

“The Crosscutters are excited to be partnering with the ASA and Coaches Association to bring this great event to Historic Bowman Field and one of only two appearances in the state of Pennsylvania.  We look forward to helping make this the best stop on their 46-city tour”, said Cutters Vice President General Manager Doug Estes.

ASA Executive Director Ron Radigonda added, “The Amateur Softball Association is proud to be able to organize the “Bound 4 Beijing” tour for the National Team as well as for softball enthusiasts across the U.S.  It’s going to be an exciting year for our women’s programs they look to a fourth-consecutive gold medal and what better way to get it started than with a tour across the United States.  Our local associations have done a great job in hosting these stops, providing the opportunity for the National Team to compete against the best teams in the country on American soil.”

“We’re excited to be able to travel to Williamsport and showcase our talented team and hopefully get everyone excited for the Olympic Games,” said National Team player Cat Osterman.  It’s a great way to prepare for the ultimate stage, the Olympic Games.”

Highlighting the tour will be eight nationally televised games on ESPN2 airing from April through June.  Four other games are slated to be televised in July.

USA Softball Head Coach Mike Candrea stated, “The “Bound 4 Beijing” tour is great exposure for not only the team, but also for the sport of softball.  It provides us an opportunity to play ion front of fans that may not otherwise have the chance to see us compete.  It’s a long haul as we play six months of competitive softball, but in the end it will help us prepare for our ultimate goal of another Olympic gold medal.”

Tickets for the May 8th game will go on sale at 9am February 15 and can be purchased by calling the Williamsport Crosscutters at (570) 326-3389, online at www.crosscutters.com or in-person at Historic Bowman Field (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm).  A limited number of reserved seats are available for $25 each with general admission tickets priced at $15 (a $2.50 convenience fee is added to each ticket).
